Administration Meeting, The White House
TechNet members met with key Administration Officials on the Morning of March 8th. Carlos Gutierrez, Secretary, U.S. Department of Commerce, Margaret Spellings, Secretary, U.S. Department of Education, Alberto Gonzales, U.S. Attorney General, and Allan Hubbard, Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Director, National Economic Council, briefed members on various issues.

   
   
   

Education Policy Lunch
TechNet members held a working luncheon on education policy with guest speaker Senator Barack Obama (D-IL).

   

Congressional Leadership Meetings
In the afternoon TechNet Members met with Congressional Leadership from both sides of the aisle to discuss technology issues.

TechNet Founders Circle Award Dinner
TechNet honored two Senators and two Congressional members who have shown extraordinary leadership on technology policy issues. This year's honorees were Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) and Democratic Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO) and Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

TechNet also honored out-going CEO Rick White for his four years of leadership.
