Washington, DC -TechNet, the bipartisan policy and political network of CEOs that promotes the growth of the innovation economy, today announced the appointment of Michelle Consalvo as the new Executive Director of TechNet’s New England operations. Consalvo joins TechNet from AT&T, where she was Vice President of external affairs for New England.

“We are thrilled to welcome Michelle Consalvo as our new TechNet New England Node Executive Director,” said Rey Ramsey, President and CEO of TechNet. “Michelle brings a terrific understanding of both policy and politics as well as deep knowledge of the importance of the innovation sector to the New England economy. She will be a tremendous resource for our TechNet team as well as for state and federal lawmakers from this critically important region. We look forward to working with Michelle and adding her talents to our mission of fostering strong innovation policies that will improve our nation’s economic condition and way of life for all of our citizens.”

In her work at AT&T, Consalvo’s responsibilities included legislative, executive branch and regulatory advocacy in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Rhode Island. Prior, Consalvo was an attorney in private practice working with state and local government on behalf of corporations, trade associations and non-profit groups. Consalvo also worked in a law firm that specialized in government affairs and assisted corporate clients in developing and implementing of policies in Massachusetts.

Before her work in the legal profession, Consalvo was Director of Legislative Services for Associated Industries of Massachusetts, the state’s largest employers association. Consalvo also worked for Northeastern University, as Director of State Relations and in the Massachusetts Legislature she served as staff director to the Committee on Ethics and as chief aide to State Representative Kevin Honan. A graduate of Boston College and Suffolk University Law School, Consalvo was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1995.
