TechNet Rallies for Support of Net Neutrality
Effort to Block Implementation Rolls Back Progress and Invites Market Uncertainty
Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the bipartisan policy and political network of technology CEOs that promotes the growth of the innovation economy, today encouraged Senators to uphold Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules established in December 2010 that establish the principles of network neutrality.
“TechNet supported the work of Chairman Genachowski and his FCC colleagues in developing clear and concise rules for keeping the Internet a competitive and flexible resource,” said Rey Ramsey, President and CEO of TechNet. “Efforts to reverse net neutrality regulations set back a process that delivered balanced regulations and serve investors, innovators and consumers. ”
