TechNet Statement on FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski’s Tenure 

Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the bipartisan policy and political network of technology CEOs that promotes the growth of the innovation economy, today released the following statement on Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski who announced today he is leaving the agency.

“Throughout his chairmanship, Julius Genachowski has been a strong advocate for American innovation and economic growth,” said Rey Ramsey, President and CEO of TechNet.  “We commend him for his strong leadership at the FCC and in particular for the role he played in developing the national broadband plan, which will help more of our citizens and businesses connect to our dynamic information networks. He also played a critical role in dealing with the complex issues of incentive auctions, net neutrality and ensuring that the nation has the spectrum it needs to grow and thrive.  We applaud Julius for his work at the FCC and wish him well in his next endeavor, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the Commission on our shared agenda.”
