TechNet Statement on President Obama’s State of the Union Address

Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the bipartisan policy and political network of technology CEOs that promotes the growth of the innovation economy, issued the following statement after President Obama’s State of the Union address:

“We applaud the President’s commitment to many of the important issues which TechNet has long advocated for to strengthen the innovation economy — reforming our high skilled immigration system, passing patent reform legislation, making investments in research and development, and support of bipartisan trade promotion agreements and tax reform.  These issues are the foundation for broad-based growth, competitiveness and opportunity. We look forward to continuing to work with the President and members of both parties in the House and Senate on this agenda.”
