As the Director of Communications for TechNet, the bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, Kidera is responsible for executing the association’s communications strategy at the federal and state levels. Kidera also serves as TechNet’s primary media contact.

Kidera joined TechNet after serving as senior director of communications and public affairs with the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA). Kidera led communications for the association’s federal, state, and international advocacy efforts around workforce training, cybersecurity, trade, and other policy priorities impacting the technology sector.

Before his time at CompTIA, Kidera was director of corporate communications with TEGNA (formerly Gannett), a media company that owns local television stations across the country. He helped develop and implement the company’s internal and external communications strategies and messaging. Kidera also worked for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) where he oversaw communications for CTA’s member division as well as the association’s broadcast and media opportunities.

Kidera also worked as an award-winning television news producer for WECT-TV in Wilmington, NC, and in minor league baseball for the Charlotte Knights. He is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
