CEO Task Forces Education Task Force: A group of the nation's leading CEOs committed to improving U.S. math and science competitiveness and increasing the number of American students pursuing studies and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Broadband Task Force: A group of CEOs and senior executives formed in 2001 to guide TechNet's development of broadband policy. Cyber Security Task Force: Representing leading computer networking, hardware, software, and cyber security companies, members devote time and resources to targeted initiatives to inform cyber security policymaking, promote best practices in network security, and support public-private efforts to protect the Internet. Senior Executive Working Groups Financial Officers Working Group: Provides technical and policy guidance to TechNet efforts on corporate governance, accounting standards and finance policy. Tax Directors Working Group: Provides technical and policy guidance to TechNet efforts on tax reform, economic growth and stimulus proposals and tax/finance policy issues. Broadband and Next Generation Internet Working Group: Representatives of leading Internet and e-commerce companies develop approaches to enable the continued growth of the Internet and Internet-based innovation. Public Policy Committee: Comprising the policy and government affairs professionals of our member companies, the PPC helps to develop and provides strategic guidance to TechNet’s federal and state policy agendas. Public Policy Subcommittees guide TechNet's efforts in Corporate Governance, Education and Workforce Policy, Research and Development, eHealth and Trade. POLITICS As the technology industry’s largest fundraising organization and most active supporter of both Republican and Democrat political candidates and elected officials, TechNet offers its members unparalleled access to the leading decision-makers in Congress, the Administration, and state government.
