The TechNet Innovation Legal Center is the voice of the innovation economy in the federal and state courts and the broader legal community. The Innovation Legal Center works to advance pro-innovation laws and regulations through effective legal advocacy, including by representing TechNet in lawsuits challenging unlawful regulatory actions at all levels, by filing amicus curiae briefs in key litigation, and by leveraging our legal expertise and analysis for the benefit of lawmakers and regulators. We seek to improve judges, clerks, litigants, and lawmakers’ understanding of legal issues that are important to fostering a climate of innovation and strengthening America’s competitiveness.

Throughout its more than 25-year history, TechNet has pursued critical litigation to support America’s innovators, including working with like-minded entities to pursue common interests. As the importance of this work has taken on increased focus, TechNet’s legal footprint has increased, and the creation of the Innovation Legal Center in 2025 serves to enhance and expand upon decades of success. The Innovation Legal Center actively seeks opportunities to defend, protect, and advance the legal framework that has allowed the American tech industry to flourish.
