Liz O’Bagy
Director of Federal Policy, AI Policy Lead
Liz serves as Director of Federal Policy, AI Policy Lead for TechNet and plays an important role in driving TechNet’s federal policy advocacy on key priorities, including artificial intelligence, trade, modernizing government technology, the future of work, and more. Before joining TechNet, O’Bagy served as the Senior Foreign Policy and Defense Advisor to Senator Chris Coons (D-DE). Prior to joining the Senate, she was a senior official with the United Nations, where she acted as a liaison between the U.N. and the United States government. Previously, O’Bagy served as Foreign Policy Advisor to the late Senator John McCain (R-AZ), advising him on foreign affairs, national security policy, and trade. O’Bagy holds an MA in Arab Studies from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and received her undergraduate degree in Arabic Language from Georgetown University. She has lived in Tunisia, Morocco, Syria, and Egypt and conducted field research in Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey.
