Teddy Tanzer
Director of Federal Policy and Government Relations
Teddy Tanzer serves as Director of Federal Policy and Government Relations for TechNet and plays an important role in driving TechNet’s federal policy advocacy on key priorities, including tax, trade, energy, health and telehealth, financial technology, transportation, and more. Before joining TechNet, Teddy served as Senior Director at Invariant, a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying and public relations firm, where he led federal advocacy efforts across technology, competition, and regulatory policy. Prior to joining Invariant, he was Senior Counsel on the Majority Staff of the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Innovation, Data, and Commerce Subcommittee, where he advised the Chairwoman on issues within the subcommittee’s jurisdiction.
Earlier in Teddy’s career, he was Senior Counsel to now Acting Chairman Peter A. Feldman at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, providing legal and policy analysis on Commission business. He also worked on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation for Chairmen Thune and Wicker, in addition to serving as a Legal Fellow in Senator Thune’s office.
Teddy is licensed to practice law in New York and Washington, D.C. He received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Hobart College. Teddy was recognized as a 2024 Maverick PAC Future 40 honoree and is National Co-Chairman of Maverick PAC. He is active in the Hobart College Alumni Association, the Republican National Lawyers Association, and the Federalist Society.
