TechNet’s bipartisan federal team, based in Washington, D.C., consists of five advocates with deep experience on Capitol Hill. The team regularly engages with Administration officials and members of Congress on our comprehensive pro-innovation agenda to enable inclusive job growth, empower the workforce of tomorrow, ensure global competitiveness, and promote digital trust. This work includes developing a pro-innovation trade agenda and building domestic supply chain manufacturing capacity, investing in R&D for emerging technologies, expanding broadband access and shaping the future of mobility through autonomous and electric vehicles, fighting climate change, enhancing the nation’s cybersecurity resilience, maintaining access to flexible work opportunities, and leading multi-industry policy campaigns to promote a national data privacy law and attract global talent. The federal team hosts a monthly Federal Public Policy Committee meeting to develop strategy and engage senior-level policymakers, manages eight working groups to focus our advocacy on member priorities, and distributes the D.C. Daily, a short newsletter that provides the current state of play on key policy issues.
