Shy Bird, a Boston-area restaurant, is using Claude to improve operations and create new career paths for its employees. Owner Eli Feldman has used Claude to identify kitchen bottlenecks, build coaching tools for managers, translate communications for staff, and develop tools that keep shift logs, messages, and daily decisions in one place. Now, food is coming off the line faster, servers can turn more tables, and tips are going up. Most importantly to Feldman, Claude is freeing up everyone’s time to focus on “taste and empathy” during customers’ visits.

ChatGPT for Teens: Built for learning, backed by protections
OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Teens, an experience designed to help teens learn, think critically, and use AI with confidence. It provides stronger built-in safety protections, including features to promote healthy use and additional controls for parents. ChatGPT for Teens is designed to support learning in moments outside the classroom, while keeping teens engaged in an active and collaborative learning process. New settings include homework reminders, which recognize when a teen appears to be trying to shortcut an assignment, and Study Hours, where parents can set default hours for study mode.

Researchers introduced two foundation models based on wearable data, xMAE and HiMAE, which aim to deliver precise and personalized health insights, including predicting health issues.
