Teladoc and Amazon Partner to Launch Teladoc on Alexa

Teladoc has partnered with Amazon to launch voice-activated general medical virtual care on supported Amazon Echo devices. Patients are able to connect with a Teladoc care provider 24/7 simply by saying, “Alexa, I want to talk to a doctor.” Customers will then get a call back on their Echo device for a virtual visit from a Teladoc doctor for virtual visits related to non-emergency health needs.

Verizon Business Expands BlueJeans Telehealth for Data-Driven Virtual Care

Verizon Business has announced enhanced access to new data sources and new partner integrations for BlueJeans Telehealth to help improve the overall quality of virtual care. Providers are able to create a 360-degree view of their patient’s health through improved access to patient data. Patients will also have the ability to share additional data, like blood pressure, weight, and blood glucose, from their Apple Health app in the coming months.

Google Helping Clinicians Make Better Sense of Patient Records

Google has introduced Conditions, a new tool to help clinicians get a quick and concise summary of a patient’s medical conditions along with key context from clinical notes. Conditions is organized by acuity, so a clinician can quickly determine if a patient’s condition is acute or chronic. It also provides easy access to information related to a condition — including labs, medications, reports, specialist notes, and more — to help clinicians manage and treat a condition.

Teladoc Health Announces Virtual Care Transformation Model for Employers

Teladoc has announced a first-of-its-kind Virtual Care Transformation Model. This will help employers and health plans assess and advance their healthcare programs by proactively integrating virtual care as a way of improving access, lowering costs, and providing better health outcomes to individuals. The model is scalable to address organizations across different sizes and industries.

Aurora Unveils New Ride-Hailing Test Fleet

Aurora has unveiled its test fleet of its autonomous custom-designed Toyota Sienna vehicles featuring Toyota’s Vehicle Control Interface (VCI) and “Sienna Autono-MaaS” (S-AM) platform. It will serve as the backbone platform for the expected launch of Aurora Connect, its autonomous ride-hailing product. Aurora is autonomously testing the fleet on highways and suburban streets in Texas.
