How Tech is Providing Disaster Relief

Airbnb provided free emergency housing to people impacted by the flooding in Central Texas and partnered with local nonprofits to house first responders, search and rescue teams, and families.

Amazon partnered with nonprofits to deliver essential supplies and food to families affected by the Texas floods, as well as to support the search and rescue crews. More than 155,000 Amazon donations reached flood-impacted communities in Central Texas.

Clayco hosted a Rooted in Resilience event to fundraise for those impacted by the June St. Louis tornado and award grants to six organizations making a meaningful impact in their communities.

PayPal donated to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and facilitated donations to flood relief efforts through the PayPal Giving Fund.

Samsara gathered resources to help those affected by disasters access immediate aid, stay informed, and coordinate local response efforts, including sharing tools to support teams managing operations during the floods.

Samsung donated $1 million to support Texas flood relief efforts.

UnitedHealth Group donated $500,000 to the OneStar Foundation’s Central Texas Flood Recovery Fund to support local recovery efforts.

Verizon donated $100,000 to support Texas Search and Rescue and waived domestic call/text/data usage charges for people impacted by the flooding.
