Proposals Would Advance America’s AI Leadership, Expand AI Education and Workforce Training, Improve Access to AI-Ready Data, and Modernize the Energy Infrastructure Needed to Power Innovation
Washington, D.C. — TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of tech CEOs and senior executives, today announced that it supports a package of federal bills to strengthen America’s leadership in artificial intelligence, expand AI education and workforce training, improve access to AI-ready data, and modernize the energy infrastructure needed to power the next generation of innovation. TechNet President and CEO Linda Moore made the following statement:
“Artificial intelligence is already helping Americans work smarter, improve health outcomes, strengthen cybersecurity, discover new medicines, support small businesses, and solve complex challenges across every sector of the economy. To build on that progress, the United States must lead in AI development, deployment, and responsible use. These bipartisan proposals would strengthen the foundation for American AI leadership by investing in research, expanding AI education and workforce training, helping small businesses adopt AI tools, improving access to AI-ready data, and ensuring our energy infrastructure can keep pace with growing demand. TechNet looks forward to working with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to advance policies that strengthen U.S. competitiveness, expand opportunity, and ensure America remains the global leader in AI and innovation.”
