Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, filed an amicus brief in NetChoice v. Fitch in an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court. The brief, joined by the Chamber of Progress, CCIA, Engine, Internet Works, and SIIA, argued that Mississippi’s age verification law was so overbroad as to be impossible to implement, yet contained such significant potential penalties that it would force the shutdown of various platforms in Mississippi and infringe on the ability of companies to operate online.
