TechNet and CCIA Letter Underscores the Importance of American Leadership on AI and Support for Bringing Manufacturing Back to the U.S.

Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of tech industry CEOs and senior executives, and the Computer and Communications Industry Association (CCIA) urged the Trump administration to consider the U.S. current manufacturing capacity and the potential impact of additional tariffs on semiconductors and related products to the American AI ecosystem. The letter underscores the critical importance of America’s continued AI leadership.

“We strongly support efforts to move manufacturing back to the United States and increase domestic semiconductor manufacturing,” the letter states. “Maintaining our competitive edge in AI will require a unique playbook that supports the domestic manufacturing investment boom while securing continued access to the semiconductors and infrastructure needed to support the next wave of AI model development.”
