Washington, D.C. — TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of tech CEOs and senior executives, today announced that Bryn McDonough has been promoted to General Counsel, after serving more than a year as Counsel and Director of Federal Policy and Government Relations. Her new responsibilities include acting as the organization’s primary legal advisor on issues including risk, compliance, and political engagement. She will also oversee TechNet’s outside legal counsel and continue to lead TechNet’s growing Innovation Legal Center (ILC). In its first 18 months, the ILC has developed a robust amicus practice, weighing in on high-profile cases to shape legal precedents that promote online privacy, fair competition, and continued innovation in emerging technologies, among others.
