Washington, D.C. — TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of tech CEOs and senior executives, released the following statement from President and CEO Linda Moore in advance of today’s markup in the House Foreign Affairs Committee of various export control measures.

“As lawmakers consider export control legislation, we urge them to use this moment to reinforce U.S. leadership in semiconductors and AI by advancing policies that strengthen domestic chip production, support continued innovation, and ensure export controls are targeted, effective, and aligned with our allies. The United States must protect national security without undermining its competitiveness in the technologies that will define the future. TechNet is concerned that some of the bills under consideration fail to do so.”
