Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, today applauded passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in the U.S. House of Representatives. The following statement can be attributed to TechNet President and CEO Linda Moore:

“Technology plays a vital role in helping achieve U.S. national security objectives by keeping networks and data secure, training individuals in key fields like cybersecurity, and defending democracy across the world.

“We are pleased that several TechNet-endorsed provisions were included in the NDAA, including efforts to bolster our national cybersecurity capabilities, make STEM education more accessible and equitable, and develop the workforce of tomorrow. These measures will strengthen our national security, increase our global competitiveness, and spur economic growth.

“We applaud the House for passing the NDAA and urge the Senate to follow suit.”
