Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of tech industry CEOs and senior executives, today announced Mike Ward as Senior Vice President, Federal Policy and Government Relations.

Ward is based in Washington, D.C., and his first day was September 8, 2025.
For the past eight years, Ward held senior public policy roles at Amazon, where he led the company’s tax and healthcare policy functions and served as Amazon’s lead House Republican lobbyist. His work spanned major federal policy areas that directly impact the innovation economy. Before joining Amazon, Ward was Vice President of Federal Policy and Government Relations at TechNet, from 2014 to 2017, where he expanded and enhanced the organization’s federal advocacy program.
Earlier in his career, Ward held numerous positions on Capitol Hill, including Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Todd Rokita (R-IN). He has an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.
