Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of tech CEOs and senior executives, today announced Andrew Wood as Executive Director for Colorado and the Central U.S. region. Based in Denver, Andrew will oversee TechNet’s state advocacy in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Utah, and Wyoming.

Wood joins TechNet from Colorado Legislative Strategies, a contract lobbying firm in Denver, where he serves as a Lobbyist and the firm’s General Counsel. Prior to joining CLS, Wood’s public service includes serving as Policy Director for the Colorado House Majority Office, where he played a key role in the 2019 legislative session, and as a Deputy District Attorney on Colorado’s Western Slope. He also led statewide voter protection programs during the 2016, 2018, and 2020 election cycles, coordinating legal efforts and engaging with state and local election officials.

Wood is a graduate of Texas A&M University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

TechNet’s 50-state advocacy program is focused on legislative and regulatory advocacy across the country. This includes relationship building between member companies and policymakers, advancing smart state policy, developing influence, and providing local support for key federal initiatives.

In addition to the Central U.S. region, TechNet’s 50-state advocacy program includes:

  • The Southeast Region, which includes Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The region is led by Katie Kelly, who is based in Tallahassee.
  • The Southwest Region, which includes California, Arizona, Hawaii, and Nevada. The region is led by Robert Boykin and Jose Torres, who are based in Sacramento.
  • The Midwest Region, which includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The region is led by Tyler Diers, who is based in Chicago.
  • The Northeast Region, which includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The region is led by Chris Gilrein, who is based in Boston.
  • The Mid-Atlantic Region, which includes Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia. The region is led by Margaret Durkin, who is based in Harrisburg.
  • The South Region, which includes Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Puerto Rico. The region is led by Renzo Soto, who is based in Austin.
  • The Northwest Region, which includes Washington state, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, and South Dakota. The region is led by Rose Feliciano, who is based in Seattle.
